As the 2010 college football betting season looks opened up with 7 potential champions, college football betting dynamics have changed in the Pac 10 Conference. As USC is under probation this college football betting campaign, College football betting enthusiasts know that the one team that has owned the Pac 10 is ineligible for the championship.
The USC Trojans have been the juggernaut bully of the Pac 10 since 2002 but begin a new era as head coach Pete Carroll skipped town one step in front of the law for the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks. After just 1 year on the job, Carroll’s former assistant and recruiting ace Lane Kiffin cut and run on Tennessee and needed a police escort out of town.
Pat Haden was chosen as athletic director after Kiffin was chosen and will present a zero tolerance policy for rules and compliance, which should keep things fascinating. As there’s still plenty of talent here to defeat the College prospects with, Carroll didn’t leave an empty cupboard, but motivation and the transition are issues.
Oregon is the reigning Pac 10 champion but had a tumultuous off season stuffed with arrests and bad headlines that cause oddsmakers to question their discipline. The Ducks have 17 starters back and are pretty talented.
Arizona is arriving from consecutive bowl seasons and has 8 starters back on offense headed by quarterback Nick Foles but their 0-33 blowout loss to Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl raises issues about their legitimacy.
The Cal Bears have been a disappointment with the college football lines the past 3 seasons but operate best when under the radar as they are this year. Cal has 14 starters back which includes 8 on offense headed by senior quarterback Kevin Riley, who passed for 2850 yards and also 18 touchdowns in 2009. A great value in 2010 could be Coach Jeff Tedford’s Bears.
Tedford has been head coach of the California Golden Bears since 2002, and this is his first and only head coaching job. He has won acclaim for turning around and stimulating the Cal football program. The team was arriving from of an abysmal 1-10 season, the worst in Cal’s history, when he took over in 2002. He immediately headed the team to their first winning season since 1993. He is known for his work ethic, even going as far as to sleep in his office. The program, which sets new records each year for season ticket sales, has been totally turned around by him.
Oregon State has been the Pac 10 runner up the past 2 seasons and has 15 starters back despite the fact that they will start a new sophomore quarterback. Coach Mike Riley appears to find a method to make Oregon State a College football betting contender each year, even after traditionally slow starts.
As they manhandled teams under coach Jim Harbaugh, Stanford was an impressive 8-5 last year. 15 starters will be back.
Washington has eighteen starters back and got much better by 5 games over 2008 in Steve Sarkisian’s first year.
UCLA is primed to make a move in Rick Neuheisel’s 3rd year on the job with 13 starters back.

College football wagering anticipations are again high for the Florida Gators despite the fact that they will have a new look for the 2010 NCAA football wagering season. College football wagering handicappers will have to get used to the Gators lacking star quarterback Tim Tebow, who was a major contributor in four NCAA football wagering seasons.
Head coach Urban Meyer declared his retirement right before the Sugar Bowl, only to change his mind and settle for a leave of absence instead, and Florida was humbled by Alabama in the SEC Championship Game. Junior John Brantley is a much more traditional style player and will take over for Tebow at QB. It could take some effort to prove that Brantley is a formidable player to Tebow’s passionate enthusiasts.
The Gators will need to take the place of 5 starters on offense and 6 on defense nonetheless they ought to be fine as their recruiting has been rated near the top since Meyer arrived in 2005.
The Georgia Bulldogs have covered just 9 from 24 games with the College prospects in the past 2 seasons as they haven’t yet lived up to anticipations. Head coach Mark Richt has frequently been at his greatest when operating under the radar and he has changed defensive coordinators.
Georgia returns ten starters on offense, but it will get redshirt freshman Aaron Murray as the new starting quarterback. Murray is encircled by lots of talent. Georgia’s crucial competition will be in their annual neutral site matchup vs Florida at Jacksonville on October 30, and they’ve got a very positive schedule that could make them a hazardous challenger.
Steve Spurrier has yet to meet the buzz that accompanied him when he took over as coach of South Carolina in 2005 despite the fact that they have bowled in four out of his 5 seasons. Spurrier is a former NCAA and pro football player who played with the University of Florida and then the San Francisco 49ers and the Buccaneers. He is in the College Football Hall of Fame and also won the Heisman Trophy in 1966. He took the University of Florida Gators to 6 SEC championships when he was their head coach. Spurrier coached his 1st season in 2005 after he signed on to be the head coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks at the end of 2004.
This seems to be Spurrier’s top squad yet at USC and if he can get junior quarterback Stephen Garcia to play with more consistency the Gamecocks could finally have that breakthrough season they have always dreamed of.
As they are on their 3rd coach in 3 years and facing potential College sanctions, Tennessee is a train wreck of a program.
The Vols were a shocking value with the NCAA football lines last year in Lane Kiffin’s one year as coach however the turmoil and 13 new starters will make the season challenging as new head coach Derek Dooley is basically wanting to stop the bleeding. Kentucky and Vanderbilt furthermore have new coaches for the 2010 College football wagering season and Kentucky has the opportunity to leapfrog into their 5th straight bowl.

As there’s lots of potential for NCAA football wagering surprises, NCAA football wagering excitement could be off the charts in the Big East Conference. West Virginia, South Florida, UConn, Rutgers, and Cincinnati are also NCAA football wagering contenders, though NCAA football wagering oddsmakers have made Pitt the fave.
The Pitt Panthers get into the 2010 year having blown the Big East title to Cincinnati last year as they headed the Bearcats 31-10 at home prior to enduring a heartbreaking 44-45 setback to mess up their opportunity for a BCS Bowl.
Pitt brings back just 5 starters on offense and 6 on defense but coach Dave Wannstedt has recruited well and replacements are skilled.
Wannstedt is a past Pitt Panther that has been head coach at the University of Pittsburgh since the conclusion of 2004. He was a defensive coordinator for the Cowboys and considered a prime candidate for head coach when the team lost Chuck Noll, but ultimately was edged out. He went on to be head coach of the Bears, following the famous Mike Ditka, who was also a former Pitt Panther. He went with the Dolphins after losing that job, then left to be head coach of his alma mater.
The schedule is hard with home games versus Miami-FL and West Virginia and road games at Utah, Notre Dame, UConn, South Florida and Cincinnati.
As they’ve got 16 starters back, the West Virginia Mountaineers are an fantastic alternative to Pitt, but do have to break in sophomore quarterback Geno Smith. Noel Devine ran for 1549 yards and will be back as a 1st team Big East player. Bill Stewart has gone 9-4 in each of his first 2 seasons as coach.
After he headed them to a 12-0 regular season, Cincinnati lost head coach Brian Kelly to Notre Dame. New coach Butch Jones has got 7 starters again on offense and just 5 on defense.
The Bearcats will again have an explosive offense that will make them appealing with the NCAA probabilities and junior quarterback Zach Collaros saw lots of significant playing time to gain valuable expertise.
A team to check out as a prospective surprise in the Big East is South Florida under new coach Skip Holtz, who takes the place of the program’s founding father Jim Leavitt, who was accused of player abuse.
Holtz won back to back titles at East Carolina and inherits a skilled team that brings back 10 starters on offense headed by sophomore quarterback BJ Daniels, who ran for 1029 yards and also passed for 1983 more. This is a team that reached a plateau under Leavitt and yet has lots of potential.
As 16 starters return to a program that has bowled 3 straight years, Connecticut could have a breakout year under 12 year coach Randy Edsall. UConn finished 8-5 and had 4 extremely painful close losses. When it comes to the NCAA football lines, this is a team that could bring lots of value.
Rutgers has not reached the level of their legendary 2006 year when they went 11-2, although they have bowled 5 straight years. The Scarlet Knights bring back a dozen starters and also a good sophomore quarterback in Tom Savage who was a freshman starter. A NCAA football betting difficulty for Rutgers could be their tough schedule.

College football wagering odds makers will focus on 4 important teams in the Big Ten NCAA football betting contest as Ohio State has emerged as the favorite. NCAA football wagering challengers include Iowa, Wisconsin, and Penn State to knockoff the Buckeyes while 4 NCAA football betting dark horses could be lurking.
Ohio State is just off a Rose Bowl victory and their fifth consecutive Big Ten Conference title. Junior quarterback Terrelle Pryor comes back to head the offense that has nine starters heading back. Pryor is currently the starting quarterback for the Buckeyes and was extensively regarded as the nation’s leading football prospect of 2008. He was named “Junior of the Year” by Rivals.com. As he also had a successful basketball career, Pryor initially was hoping to be a two-sport athlete, but has instead selected to focus on football. In his freshman season as a starter he acquired an 8-1 record, with his sole loss being versus Penn State. He is now the fastest Buckeye.
The defense returns 6 starters and has held foes to under 14 points per competition in 4 consecutive seasons. Nonetheless, with road games at Iowa and Wisconsin, the schedule is tricky.
As they were 11-2 straight up and 9-3 with the College prospects, Iowa had a extraordinary year in 2009 in NCAAf college football betting. The Hawkeyes return 6 starters on offense led by senior quarterback Ricky Stanzi. The leading 2 backs and leading 2 receivers furthermore return while 8 starters come back for defense.
The schedule breaks right for Iowa in 2010 with leading contenders Penn State, Ohio State and Wisconsin at home.
Wisconsin had a great recovery year in 2009 as they went 10-3 and beat Miami-FL in the Champs Sports Bowl. A fantastic ten starters go back to the offense led by senior quarterback Scott Tolzien, junior running back John Clay, as well as junior wideout Nick Toon.
The Badgers could be a live dog with the NCAA football lines when they sponsor Ohio State on October 16.
Penn State goes on to be one of the most regular programs in NCAA football as they’re coming off consecutive 11 win seasons and have 8 starters back on offense, even though the quarterback position will have a new starter.
The schedule is tough with road games at Alabama, Iowa, and Ohio State and that could be the College football wagering deal breaker for the Nittany Lions in 2010.
Michigan State took a step back last year going from 9-4 in 2008 to 6-7 last year. The Spartans return 7 starters on offense and 6 on defense and are determined to make Mark Dantonio’s 4th year a success.
As his 1st 2 seasons at Michigan have been the worst 2-year stretch in school history, Rich Rodriguez has the hottest seat in the Big Ten. This appears to be his last stand, with 7 starters back on offense and 8 on defense.
Northwestern appears to be a pesky squad that could bring value after 2 consecutive bowl seasons as Pat Fitzgerald goes on to impress as coach.

The Gators may not have Tim Tebow anymore but you may not want to discount them against college football wagering lines this season. The Florida Gators are packed with talent and they are capable of winning against the college football probabilities.
NCAA football betting lines will like Florida in practically all of their matches in 2010. The 1 game in which they will be long shots is at Alabama in early October. Last year the Florida Gators had a target on their back and even though they went 13-1, it was like a losing season for a Florida squad that was expected to win it all. There is no question that Florida will miss Tebow however they won’t miss the stress.
Florida still has head coach Urban Meyer and some considerable talent on both sides of the ball. Since the 2005 season, Meyer has been head coach. He has earlier coached the Utah Utes and the Bowling Green Falcons. He has the greatest winning ratio among all active coaches with at least 5 years at a Football Bowl Subdivision program with .842. He nearly resigned from his position a year ago for health reasons but ended up taking a leave of absence instead, and has been coaching again since March of this year.
John Brantley is going to have a major year in the SEC as the starting quarterback this season. He has a great arm and is going to be throwing it all over the field. He doesn’t have Tebow’s leadership skills but he has got a better arm. Brantley was a very sought-after recruit from Florida and committed to Texas before changing his mind and choosing Florida. He earned some recognition during the 2009 season when Tebow sustained a concussion during a September 26 competition vs Kentucky. Brantley nearly had his 1st start with the Florida Gators after that, but Tebow healed just in time.
The Gators have two sound runners in Jeff Demps and Emmanuel Moody. The leading receiver this season may be Deonte Thompson or Andre Debose, a redshirt freshman who’s back from injury. The offensive line is sound and should open some holes for whoever is running the ball and they should give Brantley sound protection.
The defense does lose some talent but at Florida they only reload with excellent recruiting classes. Ronald Powell, who may play straight away upfront, is a big recruit for the squad. The linebackers look sound with A.J. Jones heading back from injury. Ahmad Black is back at strong safety while Janoris Jenkins leads the secondary at cornerback.
Florida has some matches to get the new participants up to speed in 2010. They have easy matches vs Miami of Ohio and South Florida before going to Tennessee. That competition vs the Vols doesn’t look challenging either as Tennessee isn’t very good. Florida then hosts Kentucky before their two toughest matches of the season at Alabama and home vs LSU. The Gators will be long shots at Alabama in college football probabilities however they should be liked in every other competition this season including at Georgia and Florida State.

NCAA football betting emphasis on the Big 12 South carries on to be on Texas and Oklahoma as the NCAA football gambling favorites to win it again for 2010. NCAA football betting sleepers for the Big 12 South could be Texas A&M or Texas Tech but those would appear to be NCAA football gambling longshots.
In the Big 12 South competition for 2010, the Oklahoma Sooners would appear to have the advantage over the Texas Longhorns as they’re returning 8 starters on offense headed by sophomore quarterback Landry Jones, who was baptized under fire a year ago with on the job training after he had to take the place of the injured Sam Bradford in the year opener.
Jones demonstrated notable advancement as the year went on and he wound up with 3196 yards and 26 touchdown passes. Ryan Broyles comes back as the leading target as the junior got over 1200 yards receiving a year ago.
The defense returns only 5 starters but top shelf recruits are ready to step in. Oklahoma’s schedule could be the difference since it’s very favorable.
Texas must take the place of 4-year starting quarterback Colt McCoy and 5 other starters on an offense that averaged almost 40 points per game. 7 starters will be heading back to the defense. As always, Texas will be kept in the competition as they always get the cream of the crop in recruiting.
The yearly Red River Rivalry showdown in Dallas versus OU on October 2 will in all likelihood determine the division.
As they’ve got one of the most explosive offenses in the country and a new defensive coordinator and scheme in the attempt to round out the squad, the Texas A&M Aggies figure to be the leading dark horse with the NCAA prospects in the South. If the defense can cut down on the 33 PPG granted the Aggies could be a threatening threat to Oklahoma.
They host the Sooners on November 6 and seek vengeance for a 10-65 blowout embarrassment loss at Norman a year ago.
Under coach Mike Leach, Texas Tech had the most successful era in their history but let go him in any case as a result of player abuse allegations. The Red Raiders figure to be a high scoring commodity with the NCAA football lines as Taylor Potts returns at quarterback and new coach Tommy Tuberville should bring a more balanced approach and better defense.
Tuberville had been with the Auburn Tigers as head coach for ten seasons prior to resigning in 2008. After Auburn went 13-0 that year, he was granted the Walter Camp and Paul Bryant Coach of the Year awards in 2004. His 100th career win came in 2007, and he is furthermore the sole coach in Auburn’s history to beat in-state rival Alabama six times consecutively. After Texas Tech terminated Mike Leach, Tuberville expressed interest in becoming the team’s new coach, and the appointment was stated in January of this year.

The Beavers have become a rewarding team to wager on NCAA football with. The Oregon State Beavers under head coach Mike Riley should be a factor in the Pac-10 this season. Oregon State is listed at 30-1 to win the national championship in NCAA football gambling probabilities.
For the last seven seasons, Mike Riley has coached the team. The team has concluded less than .500 only one time in that time. They have also made it to several bowl games and won them.
Gamble on NCAA football competition on Oregon State starts with the Oregon State Beavers facing a pretty tough road game at TCU. Since the Horned Frogs are considered national championship contenders this season, the Oregon State Beavers will be underdogs, though they are capable of winning that contest.
Oregon State returns running back Jacquizz Rodgers who’s 1 of the most exciting participants in the country. During his freshman year with the Beavers, Rodgers was named the Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year. Rodgers broke the Pac-10 freshman rushing record during a win over UCLA in November 2008. He has been on the First Team All-Pac-10 both years he’s performed for the Oregon State Beavers, as well as AP Third Team All-American.
The question for the Oregon State Beavers is at quarterback as they are going to have a new starter. It’s going to likely be either Ryan Katz or Virginia transfer Peter Lalich. Whoever wins the starting job will have a excellent target in James Rodgers who’s Jacquizz’s brother. James had over 2,300 all-purpose yards a year ago. Jacquizz actually enrolled in Oregon State even with having numerous other offers from other universities in order to be at the same school as his older brother. The two brothers also have an uncle, Michael Lewis, who’s a safety with the San Francisco 49ers.
The Beavers’ defense was a issue last season but it could be better in 2010. They bring back Stephen Paea who was greatest Defensive lineman in the conference last season. The Beavers will have to replace David Pa’aluhi but they’ve got some options at linebacker. As they granted 23 TD passes last season, the secondary is a big concern. Perhaps they can be better this season in NCAAf football betting since three starters return.
Oregon State has a pretty hard non-conference schedule as they’ve got to play both TCU and Boise State. They should be ready for Pac-10 play though they will likely lose both of those games. The Oregon State Beavers can win the conference as USC isn’t as good as in past years. The Pac-10 race could come down to the season finale when the Oregon State Beavers host the Ducks.
As they are at TCU, host Louisville and then travel to Boise State, Oregon State will likely start the season at 1-2. They start Pac-10 play in early October as they host Arizona State. The Oregon State Beavers are capable of winning at Washington and they should win at Arizona. They host Cal and then travel to UCLA. They should rout Washington State at home before hosting USC. They finish up at Stanford before the last game of the regular season, where they host Oregon.

The Mississippi Rebels will look to add to their success against the college football wagering probabilities in 2010.
The team is even contemplating bringing in former Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli. The Rebels might use Masoli bearing in mind they have no one to backup starter Nathan Stanley. Mississippi went 9-4 last year and 7-6 against the college football lines.
Head coach Houston Nutt did a nice job last year with the Rebels and he is looking for more in 2010. Taking a flyer on Masoli may be a good move or it might upset the other participants. Backup quarterback Raymond Cotton left the team, so now the Rebels are pressured to consider adding Masoli. Mississippi would genuinely like to have an skilled quarterback to back up Stanley. The Rebels would be betting that Masoli might stay out of trouble. Folks wonder whether he can do the right things at Mississippi, though he couldn’t do so at Oregon. The Rebels regretted that decision when they took a chance last year on Jamar Hornsby as they had to dismiss him from the team after he had issues again. They may not have discovered anything from that situation though as they look willing to take a chance on Masoli.
Due to the fact their current backup quarterback is junior college transfer Randall Mackey who wasn’t even at spring practice, Mississippi will have to do something.
The Rebels do have some winnable competitions at the sports betting source, although Mississippi plays in the SEC and that is never easy. Getting rid of Dexter McCluster and Jevan Snead most likely will stop Ole Miss from improving to a 10 win year but they should still make a bowl match. Redshirt freshman wide receiver Ja-Mes Logan is actually liked by the Rebels. As they return most of their starters from last year including Jerrell Powe and Kentrell Lockett, the defense for Mississippi looks excellent.
Somebody at Mississippi knew what they were doing while they made this year’s schedule. The Rebels have very winnable competitions to break in their new offensive participants as they host Jacksonville State, go to Tulane and then play three straight at home against Vanderbilt, Fresno State and Kentucky. Before likely losses at Alabama and Arkansas, the Rebels might start the year 5-0. They host Auburn after which they get a gimme match at home against UL Lafayette. That might get them to 6 victories and they may win at Tennessee the subsequent week. They might win at Mississippi State to end the year although they will likely lose at LSU. The Rebels could find a way to 8 victories this season with an upset along the way.

College football probabilities can be based on the strength of a team’s schedule.
What should be recalled though is that figuring out strength of schedule in college football isn’t nearly as cut and dried as it is in the NFL. The college football probabilities are always changing since turnover in college football is high.
College football probabilities will likely like Alabama in each one of their competitions this season as they look to defend their national title. Some squads this season will benefit from a less difficult schedule than they had last season while others will suffer considering their slate is more difficult. Let’s examine a handful of both.
Teams that may benefit this season from a less difficult schedule include Kansas, Georgia, Oregon, Virginia Tech and Purdue. The Hokies take on Boise State in their starter and if they win that competition they may be an unanticipated squad in the national title picture considering their schedule is favorable. Due to the fact their schedule is easier than a year ago, Georgia is another squad that may be a factor. Since no schedule in the SEC is easy, as it is the hardest conference in the nation, that is somewhat relative though. A squad like Oregon who takes on a vulnerable schedule in a vulnerable conference may do well. The Ducks three non-conference competitions are against New Mexico, Portland State and a stressed Tennessee squad. They should win those competitions and then they take on a watered down Pac-10 schedule.
It’s also significant to think about squads that may have difficulty because of a difficult schedule. Penn State is right at the top of that list. The Nittany Lions are overblown with head coach Joe Paterno. He hasn’t really won anything for years and his squads are overblown. This season the Nittany Lions take on a hard slate of competitions and may fall down this season. The Nittany Lions are unlikely to win at Alabama, Iowa or Ohio State. Due to the fact their schedule is much more difficult this year than a year ago, Iowa State is another squad who may struggle. The Cyclones have difficult out of conference competitions against Utah and Iowa.
Take a look at the schedule for each squad and how it has changed before you make your bets in college football this season.

One of the squads that are getting a lot of attention in NCAA football wagering is Nebraska.
The Cornhuskers are 15-1 this year to win the national championship and those probabilities could be a little low considering Nebraska could not be as great as they were a year ago. It could be popular but it might not be lucrative to make a college football wager on the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
NCAA football wagering probabilities will like Nebraska in most of their matches in 2010 but repeating last year’s results will not be simple. The defense is unlikely to be as great and the offense was not pretty great last year as it was. The Cornhuskers should have no trouble in their first 2 matches at home as they sponsor Western Kentucky and Idaho but they are no guarantee to win in Week 3 at Washington. They should defeat San Diego State in early October at home and they probably will win at Kansas State. The competition at home versus Texas will not be simple on October 16th and the road contest the subsequent week at Oklahoma State will also be challenging. Even the home game versus Missouri in late October is not a guaranteed win.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers should win at Iowa State and at home versus Kansas and they might win at Texas A&M and at home versus Colorado to end the year. The early part of the schedule and the latter part of the schedule are advantageous to the Nebraska Cornhuskers however the meat of the schedule is hard.
A year ago the Huskers routed Arizona at the Holiday Bowl, but the Nebraska Cornhuskers lost Heisman Trophy finalist Ndamukong Suh. Nebraska had the 7th rated defense in the country a season ago and it is not likely to be that great this year. The offense was bad for the most part a year ago and does not look much better. Quarterback Zac Lee is just not that great. There are a lot of questions for Nebraska, though the squad does have some gifted players like cornerback Prince Amukamara, receiver Niles Paul and defensive linemen Jared Crick and Pierre Allen.
With an offense that is truly below average and a defense that loses Suh, the Nebraska Cornhuskers might be overhyped this year, despite the fact that a lot is being expected from Nebraska this season.
